I've been reading about the different types of yoga and Hatha appeals to me the most. It seems to be the best for what I have in mind, which is a more balanced and toned body & mind. I've also read that Hatha yoga is used to gain enlightenment and I assume it's very good in conjunction with meditation.
I've heard the health benefits are a big plus as well.
Does anyone here practice Yoga, whether it be Hatha or any other style? I'm just looking for advice on what to read, beginner suggestions, types of music to listen to (if any), that sort of thing.
there are hundreds of types of yoga just pick one that you feel comfortable with. i personally do kundalini yoga. its light, soft, and easy stretches and poses. if you want there is a guy in alaska called Navire Singe Kalsar. not sure if thats how you spell it, he has a series of videos out for beginners which was a great starting point for me. but the choice is up to you pick ever which one that you feel comfortable or one that you can kinda relate too and teach the things that you want to learn from it.
