I see those growing next to Cyans in Seattle on every hunt, *edit*. Not active or edible but they look neat . These ones were right next to my friend's cyan patch.

Definately not. They seem to be species of genera Psathyrella or Panaeolus to me... A more detailed description will be appreciated.

Sorry, I meant SevHoeSev's mushrooms look like some kind of Panaeoli or Psathyrellas. As to Yours, they definately are not Agaricus augustus.

Ah damn, referenced an old post in which that picture of mine was ID'd and I got massively mixed up. Augustus are the big white mushrooms that I also had a picture of in that original thread. Very sorry, ivi and gumby have it. I'll shut up now .

I was in sf today and all we found were a hand full of fibs. The reason im posting is that we saw 2 hippie kids hunting and they were picking the mushrooms in the pic and keeping them. I told them that they were not cyans and that they were not active but they didnt believe me. They said they are going to look on the internet for an id. If it turns out these kids post on here i am going to bitch slap them.

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

I see Galerinas and Psathyrella gracilis fruiting in the same environment all the time, one of those is extremely deadly and both are definately far from active, don't consume either and get yourself a field guide before they find you dead...

Better luck next time, have a good day.
