what works best horse or cow dung?
what is better to use fresh dung or dung that has been sitting around for a while?
how old is too old for dung? i've got some cow patties all dried up from last year can i still use it? do i need to soak it before pasteurization?

Horse dung is best, I am told. You want composted dung, (old). A year? Was it outside for the whole year. If so I'd get something fresher. It should be moistened before pasteurization.

How are you pastuerizing? If pastuerizing in hot water, no need to pre-moisten obviously. Tom had a similar post in the advanced cult form called "worm poo questions". You might want to check that out.
