Could you guys name a really quiet fan that goes for a reasonable price...
    #3483112 - 12/11/04 06:51 PM (19 years, 4 months ago)

Well, after the big grow is up, there is the drying part.  I don't want some really noisy fan going all night long keeping me awake.  So, could you guys give me a name or link to a fan that is really quite and will do a good job circulating the air and isn't too expensive?

I was looking at this one because if you read those reviews, this fan looks pretty good:

I got a honeywell fan. Theyre cheap, like 10 bucks, and quiet. You can get em at bed bath and beyond

I've heard putting herb in a dehydrator can make the smoke harsh and have it taste pretty bad.

From that post, I think he's talking about a dehydrator.  Dry on lowest setting and he uses dehydrator

95 degrees. The fan is pretty quiet. Of course, I like a fan going when I'm sleeping.

food dehydrators dry it too fast. pretty much any new fans are pretty quite. i liek window fans, those square ones abotu 2 foto square. little noisy but goo air movement if wanted and good controlls if low air movement is required.

i would say jsut test them out at the store to see which is best noise wise for you.

Takes about 12 hours to cracker dry 3 trays full. In Louisiana you need to dry them a bit faster or they start to rot pretty quick getting fuzzy or whatever.

I just took the mushrooms in my avatar away from the fan 20 minutes ago. My fan is a Lakewood.

You got it, I'm talking about herb (aka. marijuana) not mushrooms. Sorry I wasn't more clear in my first post.

And teragon, what was that link? There was no fan - just really weird stuff.

Yeah but I want the air to circulate a bit so it can dry faster.

im talking about pot too

where are you drying it?  big/small room?  if its a closet type thing you wont need one, if its a big room one of the ones i mentioned.  but on second thought oen of those little cricle ones that sorta half roatat would probably work good on low.

i could have sworn this was in teh garden.  was it moved?

I'd be drying it in a big room, I have no closets that are fit for drying.  No this wasn't in the garden, I posted it in the pub figuring I would get more posts here.  I'm talkin' dead silent :yesnod:
