pinning problems
    #3483380 - 12/11/04 09:51 PM (13 years, 6 days ago)

i am currently working on my second grow and i am having problems getting cakes to pin. the humidity appears to be high enough and i give em around 14-16 hours of light a day. one cake has mushrooms about an inch long on it but the otehrs do not even have knots, and they were all put in the rubbermaid at the same time. do some cakes just take alot longer, even if they are the same strain? any idea of what the problem is?

it can take longer from cake to cake. but how long after fully colonized did you wait to birth your cakes? and i dont know how the lightwill effect them but they say use 12 hours a day.

IMHO you can go a bit less lite . This is not why slow .
But to answer your problem ...YES some will take longer sometimes , they can be shy
Patience... if they appear healthy ,and have a good home , and one is already doing it's thing , then the otheres will surely follow .

Keeping c02 levels down to a min ? (air exchanges)
Temps in the mid 70's ?
Many reccomend cold shocking cakes .
But P..a..t..i..e..n..ce .

Good Luck
