the pmp i saw was made out of a bottle and included manual fanning and stuff...
as for this lates sketch the fans sucks air out and the other fan cools the tube so water condenses on it and flows back into the tank...

The PMP is a specific idea (look for posts by Magash on it..a search should reveal it and it has excellent pictures). Take a rubbermaid. place an airwand or two (pet store for fish) at the bottom with hoses comming off and going into a little airpump for first. Fill bottom (a couple inches) with geolite (red rocks, lava rock will work as well). Put an inch of water/h202 in the bottom. You may need more water then that but make sure te air pumps are covered.
This idea works because the geolite and bubbling water put moisture in the air. This is not passivly blowing through the water lik your design though..which is needed to create the humidity. The air pump will pump lots of fresh air in and some holes stuffed with polyfil at the bottom of the chamber...at the height of the casing..co2 will expell but THIS is the passive side..that will allow minimal humidity to excape through the polyfil holes but co2 will push through as it needs to since the chamber will be possitivly pressurized.
Theres a reason things are doen the way they are and not the way you keep insisting on doing them. Listen to me or dont, I dont care. I've got plenty of mushrooms..

You are thinking of the poor man's terrarium. The Poor Man's Pod is as good at it gets. It's completely maintenance free.

Scatmanrav... Couldn't have said it better my self....kinda. Your idea is to faulty dealing with water in the tub. No doubt that sucsses will araise, however to call it consistant is something else. It's been afew yrs. since I've grown some shrooms, but it's pretty simple guys. The person who came up with this thread (sorry...forget the name), is almost on the right track. If am correct then what your trying to do is supply fresh air, and keep proper RH levels as needed...right? The fans IMO are a waste of time. Not trying to bring you down but I can't imagine why a fan would be needed in something like a rubbermaid, if thats the size of your grow? Fresh air exchange is important, but damn! Something like that is making things more complicated then they need to be. A small fish pump, double outlet t'd together to form one main air outlet. Other end of hose has a small bubbler attached, which is place in a solution of h2o2/water, something with a sealable lid (rubbermaid bottle/gateraid ect.. Your container should be filled about 3/4 of the way up...or were ever really, with the h2o2/water mix. Take the lid drill a hole and insert the tubeing, pop on the bubbler. Take the same lid and drill another hole for the other tubeing. Pop that through the lid and secure with silicone. This end does NOT GO INTO THE MIX. It stays on the underside of the cap not touching the water. The other end of this is secured to the top of your fruiting chamber, with small outlet hole's already in place on the bottom, cover outlet holes on the bottom of your fruiting chamber with dry perlite. Turn pump on and presto! I should mention that 2 pumps are the max. ever needed for a pretty large rubbermaid. At about 60 or so casing I've lost one. Placing a small terr. heating pad under the water helps when more humidity is needed. With ambeint temps. always changing from season to season the heating will not be needed at times. And yes pumps run all the time, very important! A good therm. controlled heating pad is very helpful too. Meaning if you plan on this, then don't scimp because of price.

Your drawing looks fine..you dont need any other hoses then 1 or two coming in. Its up to you if you want to run them under the lid or through the wall. I wouldnt add the heater because it will be a little warmer in your chamber then out usually and most peoples houses is plenty warm enough. They should be fruiting at 70-77 degrees..even a little cooler is better then a little warmer.

ok ive read most of the thread (god damn) and i have one more question: i read somewhere bout how strongthe pump should be but now i cant find that section of the thread...
i remeber it was something like: the output has to be 3 times the total volume of the pod per hour... is that about right?

It doesnt have to be..most people do 5-6 exchanges per day with fine results. Even just once every hour should be enough, though I believe its 3-6 times per hour thats optimal.
