Hello Mike, I would ask your friend where he ever heard Terence make the claim that any shaman was capable of granting physiological immortality or that any shaman has actually staved off physiological death indefinitely for himself, because thats what his argument boils down to.
Terence was always a proponent of technology and the fact that he looked towards technology to extend his time on earth seems consistent to me at least. You have a link to McKenna's recordings on your website, after listening to them and reading through the statements made by Terence just before he died do you find inconsistencies? Check out "Terence McKenna vs. The Black Hole" and judge for yourself. I feel he was philosophically consistent throughout his life, but thats just my two cents.

Hope all is well with you and yours, we've got some catching up to do, I'll PM you after I get off work today. I'll be sure to download those mp3s, I don't have those I'm pretty sure, thanks in advance my friend!
I thought we had lost you man. Good to see you back. Hope you're not working yourself to death anymore. BTW, it looks like the site that I have those mp3's on is down right now. The mp3 in my signature won't even work. Did you ever get Soul Seek? If so, you can get it from me that way.

not compatible with your ISP? huh? it's just a download manager - how would your ISP even know about it?
maybe configure it to download one .mp3 at a time.

I have no idea, but it will not let me download it. Now it says it is because of my ISP's anti spam settings. I am just going to let it go. I have a cable modem, and I already downloaded all of Mckenna.

Really, awesome! Glad you like him. Check that same thread for other rare Leary mp3's. Definitely check out "How To Operate Your Brain" which is one of my favorite Leary "albums" and it's even from the 90's!
AislingGheal: Hey, go ahead and download the Leary tracks. Looks like they're downloadable again. Also, check out Gerald Heard - "Explorations Vol. 2 - Survival, Growth and Rebirth". It's a rare piece of recorded psychedelic history. It's probably more rare than even the Leary ESP album.

WOW, just WOW. I just finished hearing the tree of knowledge, after almost four days of endless work inoculating and hearing him at the same time. I've heard "tree of knowledge", "under the teaching tree", "food of the goods", and some others like "true hallucinations" or "vision plants" and...
WOW
He is a trippy guy for sure. He's got some amazing insights into evolution, the psychedelic experience and the universe as a whole. It's such a sad thing he sound like a nut job the first time you hear him, I think a lot of people would reject him just for that.
I must admit I was initially sort of "against" him, because I liked Timothy Leary a lot, but this guy is really great. I recommend it to anyone interested in the psychedelic experience, specially the "tree of knowledge" series, which seems to condense lots of his theories into a well focused set of interviews.
BTW, what was the I-Chin thing about? I thought he just went bananas with that
