About a year ago someone sent me some acacie obtusifolia bark. I still have it but im insure of where it came from. ????

Hmmmm it is usually consensual that Mimosa Hostilis Root Bark is the favorable plant source for DMT extractions, either in amount of alkaloids and consistency of this amount.
Meaning if you do the extraction with MHRB it is most likely that you'll get 0,5% of the starting weight in DMT.
With acacias, some being even more potent than MH, results are usually inconsistent unless you use a known and tested source. If you read some posts in DMTworld about acacias as DMT source, namely carpedmt's posts, he states that finding good acacias to extract is a painstaking process that will take years of field work and experimentation.
Not to mention most extraction guides around are developed and 'tweaked' to work better with mimosa.
Besides, many acacia species also contain 5-MeO-DMT.
I could see the price being a reason for you to prefer working with acacia bark, but i realized acacia bark is even more expensive than MHRB in Lifenergy's link.
So i was just wondering why would you prefer doing your thing with acacia instead of mimosa.

I don't know how hard it is to grow. I do have a couple of plants in seedling stage. I figure they must not be cold or drought resistant, coming from the rainforest and all.
They're trees so i assume it'll take many years before you can harvest any material.
If you want to grow plants for their DMT your best bet would be psychotria viridis or desmanthus illinoensis.
And yes MHRB is legal, although i have reasons to believe gov's are starting to realize what it is being used for. http://www.iamshaman.com/mhrbpv.htm
You can find it in a number of ethnobotanical vendors, including some of the shroomery sponsors.
