Bowing Poppy ?
    #347975 - 06/24/01 02:46 PM (23 years, 3 months ago)

?'m growing four poppy plants on my balcony, they haven't bloomed yet but i think it won't be long...it's the first time i'm growing poppy, so i wondered what happened when they all bowed their heads after they had reached a certain hight. they all "look" down to the ground now, but seem to be ok otherwise, the color is good and they're still growing rapidly.
is this normal ?

Did they get sufficient light? Maybe they are stretching to get more sunlight. Other plants which need very much sun do this as well if they don't standing at a sunny place.

That is common prior to bloom, not sure why it happens though.
