PF's double cased/No second flush

Well I was whoopin it up because a week ago I had success with my
first try, and first flush of classic PF. My shrooms were small and collected some chubby abhorts.(bout 50grams wet) I have 6 cakes, cleaned em up and I did the PF double casing, 3 with
the vermic just like it says. I double cased the other 3 with some leftover 50/50+ casing
just as an experiment. I have dripped water on the tops about 2x a day.
I just keep gettin abhorts all over the place. I do some see some rhizos coming out through
the casing finally. I cranked the humidity at first , saw pins, brought humidity down but still just abhorts. I'm just waiting it out.. I think my casing layer was about 1/4 inch instead of 1/8th inch. Any suggestions? Too much water?
I know PF's are known for aborting but it's been a week now. BTW, the first abhorts .. I removed. I have left the new small ones.

If you're dropping water on the pins, there's your problem. Yes, you may have drowned them. Try misting them lightly once a day.

I drip water on the vermic casing on top, not directly on the pins. Only once did I spill any down the cake. Should I clean the cake one more time
or leave well enough alone for a few more days? If they keep growing abhorts for another 4 days I will case them completely (I think) as I am going away for a few days.
Thanks... You are always kind enough to answer my questions and I trust you "old hand".
