Possible Cyanescens?
    #3471313 - 12/09/04 03:12 PM (19 years, 3 months ago)

I picked these mushrooms around some wood chips in WA. The spore print is a lavender color; a bit on the dark side. The caps were a dark brown when picked, but have now faded to a tan/yellow during drying. The stems were white when picked, and have darkened around the base and middle as they dry. I believe, after checking them against two books on mushrooms, that they are Cyanescens. A second opinion please?

Thanks,
SS

scissors?? his cyans look cut in all but the last pic but he he didnt use them then maybe he should be told. Please use scissors when picking/ cutting cyans so that you do not destroy the habbitat that they are in. Their roots are strong and will break up the mycelium

This is my first time posting photos, so I hope that it works.

In any case, does anyone know what these might be?

They were found in a San Francisco park.
The gills are orangy, dark, and measured up to an inch.
The stems are light, almost translucent and hollow.
There was, unfortunately, no blueing when bruised.

Thanks!
