sorry for the short answer, i meant it takes space and money and with being short on both not to sure how youll get it done, but good luck with it. also use some rubbermaids with plastic sheeting in the bottom so all the moisture goes down the sides and under the plastice sheeting and not drownding the grow. plus the plastice bag makes for easy clean up and the tubs are only like 3-20 dollars depending on size

ya... if you go larger scale containers they are self sufficent, so no need for humidifiers,greenhouses...etc...

Wait so you're saying if I used like one of the larger rubbermaids and put a 6" substrate layer using straw/poo I wouldn't even need to humidify?

You don't even need rubbermaids. All you need is some sturdy cardboard boxes and some thick trashbags. Fold the edges of the bag over the top of the box, press the bag in so it's lining the inside. Tape around the bag to keep it from slipping. And there you go. Hell of a lot cheaper than buying a bunch of rubbermaids.

You can also make an incubator using a styrofoam cooler, a cheap nightlight, and an extension cord.

Whoa whoa, I'm spawning to bulk in the bottom of a 50 gal rubbermaid and I was led to believe that I'd still need my ultrasonic. Are you sure that I don't need it at all?

I promise that you dont need a humidifier
I have never in all of my cultivation years used one.
of course all I used to grow was bulk in rubbermaids

Okay, well if I wanted to automate the grow a bit I suppose I could run a humidifer to 6 different terrariums (bulk grows) and that would take the place of misting and air exchange, right? I figure if I do that and set up a light to run on a timer they'd be all set until I need to harvest the shrooms, eh?

Bulk casings in a rubbermaid will provide all humidity you need.

Best way..two large rubbermaids..put polyfil holes at the casing layer and in the bin that will flip upsidedown on top for the lid. This will make an airflow affect taking care of air exchange. Bulk neglect...cheap too..a big thing of straw could for 3-7 bucks (depending on where you live) and could easily pull 5-10 pounds of dry mushrooms with a few containers..meat themometer..a little popcorn or WBS for like 2 bucks for 10 pounds or whatever..

You could hook up COOL MIST humidifiers for air exchange though it might hurt your humidity....

Of course with bulk you do need space....

rubbermaid bulks create so much humidity...its litterally like a rainforest in there.

Thank you very much, you just saved me $35. So how about a cool mist on for 20 minutes every 5 hours or so? Will that suffice for my air exchange and not dilute my humidity too much?

Probably...fanning once or thrice a day or doing neglect teks (found in grow log section) like the dual tub with polyfil holes method would work just as well too.. Theres lots of air in there to last a while.
