Decided I better get out there and check a local pasture after all this rain and unseaonably warm temps we've been having here in the southeast. Plus, it was raining today and I didn't have to work, what better to do? There weren't a whole lot of cubensis fruiting but what was there was quality. Its not unheard of by any means to find cubensis here in GA during the month of december, but its not every year it happens, we have been blessed with a long and plentiful season here in the southeast. Another 3 months or so and morel season will be here!!! I can't wait, these late cube finds are a nice hold me over though, I can't complain

IME here in Florida, fields that pump in the winter are scarce and the shrooms are far and between, but the ones you do find are healthy monsters. nice finds, cool pics.

Nice finds, I went out today too because of all the rain and because I was sweating while walking to class the other day it was so humid! I found a shit load of Cope Cyans, some of the biggest I have ever found in my 6 months exp. 2 of them are 2 inches in diameter. I also found a good amount of cubes. It was drizzling while I was out there so all of my finds are kinda mushy, but they should be fine. Check out ur fieldz!

I think I'll head out to my cope field tomorrow and see what I see. I could use a pound of copes.

Woah. Those are some beefy cubes.

Did you happen to get pics of that weilii you were telling me about?

I didn't get a pic of that single weilii I was telling you about. I did however find a new patch on my property today, found one cluster of about 10 or so weilii all tightly bunched up close as they could be. Found a few loose ones too around the same patch with the cluster. I knew there would be some weilii up here and there with all the rain and warm weather, but this healthy cluster suprised me, looks like something you'd find during peak season, not the second week of december. I'll get pics tommarow, I left them be since the overall patch was still immature, only two mushrooms were ready for picking today.

And whoever wants a print of these cubies just shoot me a pm, I don't see much special about them, just healthy cubes, but if someone wants to play around with a wild print go for it, I'd love to see the results.
