What temp do spores perish?104 or 106'f?If the "acid doesnt get them then if they excercise real hard and raised their body temp. If their temp is 101.5 and it gets to 100'f every now and again wouldnt their temp be hotter? There is a very fine line that the spores can survive that.I'll do more reading I guess

Spore skin is made of keratine(or is it chitin ?) which is very resistant, I don't know what temperature it perish.

the mammals gut temp is pretty much stable in a healthy animal, I ignore it's variance range though.

Mycelium death is at 104F from Stamets. I would imagine spore death to be higher.

A report of shrooms growing on human feces? Seriously? It can't be too common, can it? Otherwise everyone would just pinch one off in their back yard and come back some time later to get their shrooms. Is the chance of that happening very large?

I don't think so, perhaps if one is on a forage diet...

Cell walls of fungi are a composition of glucans, chitin, and proteins. Spores are primarily chitin coated but many fungi actually produce more than 1 type of spore. Cow's cannot digest or process chitin and a spore can endure both temperature, and humidity extremes.

Most spores require stained temperature around 40 degrees C to initiate germination. I read that they can withstand between 60- and 65 degrees celcius. But surprisingly when I looked it up there wasn't much data in my book concerning it.

This is incorrect. Smaller mammals have a higher body temp than larger mammals. AS size of species decreases, temperature increases.
