Why one month instead of 12 hours.

Why do cubes grow outdoors like overnight, and yet it takes a month to grow them inside. Just a question I can't figure out.

Because they dont just grow over night outdoors :shrug:.

Yes dork, they will fruit over-night, but they dont just go from spore to carpophore in 8 hours.

The mycelium was pry growing for weeks to months before you ever see a mushroom pop up from it. You aren't going to notice knots or pins outside, unless you want to look crazy crawling around.

They take days to grow the same as they take days to grow inside. From knots to mature shrooms with optimal fresh air and light and temps should only be like 3 days. Inside or out...but the first two they're pretty small and you wouldnt notice them.

Also I've noticed things like more light and higher temps (being 77-80) making them grow quicker but with less light and lower temps (being 70-75) making them grow slower but thicker and fatter. Usually takes like 3-5 days indoors IME from knot to mature shroom.

You must be referring to the fruit body.I to have seen alot this hunting them.Pick a big shroom(3 to 4 in. cap)and 24 hr's later another big shroom is there.
Why?You Know.That little thing we all keep trying to reproduce.
