Outdoor cubensis growing without PF cakes?

I want to start growing outside BUT I don't want to waste time on making PF cakes if I don't have to so I was wondering if I could take the spores from the local fields (which I have harvested POUNDS of shrooms from) and use the spores and manure as a growing medium instead of the PF cakes. Anyone know if this will work or would it be a waste of time?

It could work, but your flushes will be week if it does, make spawn somehow.
