Scenario:

You have one choice of the following three people, to be stranded with on a deserted tropical island for 8 years:

A fundamental Christian.

A fundamental Taoist.

A fundamental Islamic.

All you know of these three candidates, is that they are strictly die-hard adherents to their said religions and it?s fundamental principles.

Which candidate would you choose, and why?

At least I would speak the Christian's language...

I would choose the Taoist because I feel I could probaly gain something from spending time with that person. I could learn about something completely foreign to me that I have no past experience with.

The other two I think I would end up punching in the nose.

Never heard of an intolerable taoist. I'd have to go with them.

Then again, you never know. There are assholes all over the place, but going solely on their religion, the taoist for sure.

Taoist without a doubt. I don't see how there could be an intolerably strict Taoist like there are for Christians and Muslims, because the texts of Taoism don't have clear cut lessons that people can distort to oppress others like Christian texts do.

Not to mention the Taoist would in theory have the most unity with the universe, and be the best (and probably most silent and accepting) teacher

A "hardcore" fundamentalist, I assume would be a baptist, would drive me nuts.

Which if any of the three are female?

Were any of them on Survivor or in scouting?

Were any of them farmers or fisherman?

I could make exceptions in the religion department.

isn't the point of being spiritual is to accept everybody for who they are?
then you got to ask yourself are you going to survive and are you going to learning anything enlightening with or without them or eventually you, yourself will discover what you need to know?
