Which Way is Up?

First, thanks to those who answered my question regarding light required for fruiting. My cakes are going to be born this Friday and I'm confused when I read the procedure for putting them in their fruiting chamber. Does the side which was at the top of the jar go back up again? I interpreted the description to mean that it does, but the pictures I see seem to have the vermiculit layer on the bottom. Hence my question---Which way is up?

it doesnt really matter. you dunk roll and then you put verm on the top. the bottom is sitting in more moist verm.

I dont think it matters, the verm layer you see in pics is not the dry verm filter you use to keep contams out, it is a double-end case, look it up.
