I'd say forget the trick CD, first you need to learn vertical orbits and horizontal orbits. It's important to get a feel for the changing tension in a string... after all it takes subtle movements to _control_ the balls. If you go to astrojax.com they have a trick of the month archive, those tricks are very difficult. The easy stuff to learn is printed right on the package... try out the butterfly once you can do both vertical and horizontal orbits.
I got really sick of learning other peoples tricks so most of the time I'd just fuck around. After awhile I could do some really nice looking things, but nothing like what was on the trick CD. The style I developed around the skills I had already had... and it was all about acting fast enough to control seemingly complete chaos.
The Blue Diamond and the SE Blue LED Saturn are almost identical. Both sport the super bright blue LEDs, and aside from different lettering the only difference is Blue Diamond comes with a black light reactive orange string.
Additionally, you can get a tuning kit with one white ball and one blue ball (all superbright) with extra pins, three different strings and a pin popper for 9.95. I'd recomend this if you wanted to get either blue or white SE Saturns, but wanted a UV reactive string and the ability to mix in a different LED ball.
