It's not over, but so far it's been pretty good (ahem... gooooooood). I hear from people who've been doing this a while that this year in Seattle was the best in a long time. Hunters in Seattle that spent at least once a week since early October should have come across over 15 pounds on their escapades.

Ah sorry, I meant wet although some people have found that much dry (cyans that is). I havent been hunting long. I spent some time hunting edibles in the Cascades. I just hunt for the fun of it and to learn about mycology. Are you in North CA? Are there many parks with alder/maple mulch down there?

Yeah 20 mins from San Fran. i usually hunt at the local community college, i found a tiny patch out in front of a movie theatre. I just walk around looking for woodchips. Not many parks here that ive been to, but im sure they are out there. I mostly find good habitats in commercial districts next to buildings and such.

Cool, there must be areas down there that are just covered. You should stick to schools, parks, industrial areas, and restorations. Actually you can find them growing like crazy from people's front yards and apartment buildings though, so almost any area is worth checking. Some are more likely than others.

For sure bout the pics. Yeah the patch i found at he community college was just LOADED when i found it, im still waiting on a pos id(the ones in the thread about our dry ones are from this patch) but its huge I gave Quankus 5.2 grams for picing me up for the fair and that was like 1/4 of what i had. I only picked for 5 minutes(a cop rolled around the corner and parked right down the street) I left probobly 3/4 to a pound there and they were already dry when i started piking. I went back like 2 days later and they were rotting :nonono:

I'd Have to say that me and bitterpill made a professional hunting team this year. Me and this guy found sooooo many pacthes within a couple of weeks of meeting, at least 30+ spots, many which were already raped. This is my first season too, I mean to really find some. I met bitterpill earlier in the season because he happened to be hunting on the street i got my original haul from. Over a weekend we have seen no luck one day, and the next we'll find numerous wet pounds of the nicest healthiet cyaans. we also found them growing in like every single habitat possible, grass with dirt, growing off single pieces of wood or pines cones. We have seen quite a few extemely large guys. The largest to date was 12.5 grams wet...... But man these things are potent too. I took a few doses earlier this season, but like bitterpill, i'm down to just hunt now, we have so much fun hunting all day (usually till dark). I'd have to compare it to Easter egg hunting. Finding pins that flourish an entire field or hill has been seen by us. I'd have to say that we are Cyan seattle pros, seen all kinds of unique spots and mushies. GREAT SEASON, and more to come.......

First pickings i ever found, i didn't even have to walk more than a few yards from my front door---

and heres is me and bitterpill's sunday find......

He removed his post already, but it made the point that suimish's questions are kind of intrusive. Those particular questions have also been edited out.
