1) Autoclave - Awesome
2) Pressure Cooker - Awesome
3) Fractional Sterilization - Never tried it.. probably just "decent"
4) Boiling - PF-Tek, not suitable for grains.

I'm going with four.. there may be more.

Yea, it's where you boil your jars for a set duration of time each day for 3 days.

This is to allow the endospores to germinate and then you kill them with the second boil after they have been allowed 24 hours to germinate, the ones that germinate after the second boil are killed on the third day when you boil it again.

Not as effective as having a pressure cooker I would imagine, but it's an alternative for people who have no possible way of getting access to a pressure cooker or autoclave.

Check it out: http://www.shroomery.org/index/the/default/par/23372

what about soaking everything in H2O2? and then putting it in jars, if you get teh correct amount will this work? because I was under the impression it breaks down into oxygen and water, both needed.

Why soak it in H2O2? If you mean for sterilization of the substrate material, no it won't work as a substitute for a pressure cooker because all the endospores that are dormant will remain and then germinate after you knock up the jars and contaminate everything.

You can get decent pressure cookers at walmart for rather cheap or check out Ebay.

How do you steam sterilize with a regular pot and water? I filled the pot up to about 1 inch from the top with water, but a site im at right now says to just use 1 inch in the bottom... For 1.5 hours! That shit would evaporate in no time. Should I use high heat or medium?

haha, did you place the jars directly on the bottom of the pot? if so then that's why they busted, you're supposed to have something between them.
