My Recent Religious Experience
    #3462320 - 12/08/04 12:41 AM (12 years, 8 hours ago)

The other night I had a spell of depression come on out of nowhere.  I was in the kitchen and crying and prayed for some help.  Then the voice.  "Come to me, son".  I was confused at this point. Thinking going to god meant dying.  So I layed down on my bed and prayed out loud.  This next part is kind of hard to explain so bear with me.  As soon as I closed my eyes I was in another place, on a cloud with Jesus.  And I hugged him and he hugged me.  He told me "It will be ok".  It felt so nice and comforting.  Thank you God.  You really helped me through it.  Much love.

I've had similar epiphanies, except that they had more to do with learning to trust myself rather than trusting in some invisible man.

If you believe he is invisible he will remain invisible.

That was Gr8 man  In my experience and many like me it seems God approaches a person when they are at their lowest ebb and have nowhere else to turn, This is like a contagion(referring to all the people here that have come to know our Creator through direct experience) :sun:  :sun:

Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega. Who the Christ is persisted before the man Jesus and persists after the man Jesus.

Jesus became worm food 2000 years ago. Christ is forever, and Christ lives.

yes you are right christ is forever and is the alpha and omega. i was just trying to point out that the way most people try to define "jesus" with thought and rules is not the answer. you need to feel jesus not think about him. once you come to a certain awareness you'll stop calling him jesus at all because words are useless when it comes to your spirit and trying to define him by thought instead of feeling will never let you become completely aware of his greatness and love.

i have had a christ experience before many years ago, i was flipping through the tv channels and came across a christian show, and talked about if you love christ that love is given back a 100 fold. i am not christian or never been to church and have no beleif in it either. but when i went to go to a meditation and the thought of christ came in and thought of sending love to christ and how i would recieve it back. far out what an experience, the love was given and received at a high rate taken me higher and higher into a blissful state. no words can explain what the feeling was. but it was beautiful. just thought i would share.

I'm glad you did man  I mean both had the experience and shared it, It seems God has rather unique ways of approaching each of us and no 2 ways seem to be alike as no 2 people's lives here on earth are are totally identical, the only thing that truly matters is that we DO let him into our lives

If you believe he is invisible he will remain invisible.
I am going to go out on a limb and extrapolate that you mean the obverse as well.
Correct me if I am wrong.

If you believe he is visible he will become visible.
OK, now lets apply that to ANY mythological object. If I believe that unicorns are visible, they will become visible. If they are not visible, then I truly did not believe.
This is merely a tautology and points directly to imagination.

This statement saddens me and even more sad is that it is unlikely that you comprehend why.
