Easiest Spawn Material to work with?

What is the easiest spawn material to obtain and work with? I live in a semi-suburban, semi-rural area. I went and collected some cow poo and tried to spawn it with PF style jars, but nothing happened. Maybe the poo I collected wasnt the right type. I got some composted cow shit in a bag. It's very rich, humus-like. Black as yo mutha. Is this the right stuff?

Worm Pewp
Composted Farm Pewp
Wheat Straw
ZooDoo

anything im forgetting?
Im bascially looking for something ready to use out of the box. I dont have the time or the resources to make a compost pile.

Either worm poo or straw or worm poo and straw. Spawn hte worm poo then use that to spawn onto the straw.
