I once put an earthworm in the freezer for a week and when I took him out he thawed on the front porch and slithered away. I don't know what that has to do with mycology but I just thought I'd offer that little story for comedic purposes if nothing else.

hey i think it would be worth a try to thaw a couple out and see what happens before throwing them away.. try thawing one then birthing it and cut it in half and put it in a plastic baggie if its still alive in 2-3 DAYS it should start growing in the middle where it was cut, mycelium is pretty strong so its worth a try.

considering i put a few jars in the fridge for a week and they froze because they were near where the cold air comes out, i think you may just have a shot.
we can't tell you for certain, but it's definately worth a shot while your new jars are colonizing.

If you're pressed for space, try to fruit them invitro. It would help to see if mycelium can be frozen for long term storage.
