some pics of non-actives from 12/07/04 hunt

To get to today's hunting grounds, I had to pass through a cemetery. I hop the corner of the fence that you can see in this picture. The Newmans always greet me, and today they had a little surprise for me.

The next ones were found in the field. First a picture of the picking grounds.

This is southwest Louisiana. The woods in this picture are next to a cow pasture and the cows come up in here quite often, which of course is why I'm drawn to it. I found few cubes (but got a lot at another field that I'll post in a bit), but I found these others that I don't know the identity of:

spores of the one above are white. I didn't bring it home.

The next I also don't have an id for and didn't bring it home:

All three are amanitas. the first on looks like A. muscaria. If the bulb at the base has a series of collars on it, it is.

The second looks like citrina. The bulb at the base of citrina
has one collar that sits on the top of the outside of the
base and gives it sort of a cuplike appearance. I can't see that
part of the base so I'm not sure.

The third is some sort of blusher. An amanita that stains red.
I don't know which one. Nice finds and pics.

Thanks, Falcon. I thought the first was a. muscaria but wasn't sure what the other two were. Unfortunately I don't have any pics with better views of the base of the second one.
