Sleep Schedule and Fat Cats
    #3460380 - 12/07/04 05:28 PM (13 years, 4 months ago)

Man, every time I come home to visit my parents my sleep schedule gets completely out of whack. You see, they have three cats, and apparently I'm allergic to cats, because every time I sleep here, I wake up with the runniest nose imaginable, and I'm sneezing all over the place. The only medicine that works for this (of all the ones I've tried) is anything with Diphenhydramine HCl. This is all fine and good, except that chemical knocks me out cold for hours during the day when I take it. I seriously struggle to stay awake.. my legs get tingly like they want to fall asleep, and I get super sluggish. Today I have counteracted this problem by drinking three Iced Chai Teas, but now I'm just wired with tired legs.

I don't know what the point of this is, I just felt like explaining that I take naps constantly when I'm over here, then can't sleep until around 3 in the morning, fail to get up for class on time, and blah blah.

Stupid cats... I love them to death, but the hydramine is my only escape from their deadly sneezing meow powers of cuteness.

Also, while I'm on the subject of cats - I seem to be allergic to that crazy little cheek gland secretion thing they use to mark stuff as their territory. If they rub any of that crap on me, I get little red bumps where it happened and it's super itchy. :argh:

"in times of widespread chaos and confusion, it has been the duty of more advanced human beings - artists, scientists, clowns, and philosophers - to create order. In such times as ours however, when there is too much order, too much m management, too much programming and control, it becomes the duty of superior men and women and women to fling their favorite monkey wrenches into the machinery. To relieve the repression of the human spirit, they must sow doubt and disruption"

"People do it every day, they talk to themselves ... they see themselves as they'd like to be, they don't have the courage you have, to just run with it."

i have 3 cats and 2 roomates (we each had a cat) one of my roommates is allergic to cats but she gets some kind of shot (i think each week though) and she has no problems - (despite the fact that the cats shed tons ---there are piles of fur which are so large they could easily be mistaken for additional cats)
