Response (Jessica R.) - 12/07/2004 06:38 AM Thank you, Travis, for visiting our website regarding if items mailed via USPS under go any abnormal temperatures.
There are some conditions where mail is subject to x-ray however, we have nothing that suggests it would be in extreme temperatures.
If we can be of assistance to you in the future, please don't hesitate to contact us. Thank you for using the United States Postal Service.
Jessica
Customer (Travis L.) - 12/03/2004 01:23 AM I'm sending something in an envolope that can't be exposed to heat, when normal mail is brought in and sent out, does it under go any abnormal heating? Thank you for your time. -Travis
Just something for anyone who is trading or anything of the sort, just figured it'd be good info, gl

syringes are not illegal so dont worry....chances are they xray bigger packages--not the small ones...and think of how many packages/mail a post office deals with.... i doubt they xray alot of them...

I think they only x-ray packages going into government facilities and stuff like that. They don't really x-ray that much it would be too expensive.

I'm not saying don't use mail, lol, just be careful with what you send. Initially I was curious about whether or not they heat their envolopes b/c i was sending spores out to a friend,(not illegal) and i didnt want them to die b/c of extreme heat. Then she told me that they X-ray Sometimes under certain conditions, jus saying don't give them a reason to have to check haha, but like i said, it's just good information, something nice to know =0

I am not too sure of the legality of sending to california. Is just the sale of spores illegal, or can you send spores person to person.

Isn't that something? We have some unusual laws here in American. For example, according to South Dakota law, upon release from jail, the state government is obligated to provide you with a horse. Although this is an example of a law that no longer applies to today's legal needs, I think it raises a good point, that we as Americans have to reevaluate our laws and determine their relevancy to modern life.

I believe that either South Carolina or maybe it's North Carolina that has a law that says you can beat your wife on the steps of the courthouse on monday mornings if you have a valid reason (Insubordination, Infidelity, etc.). Of course, you'd probably get locked up for it now but it's still supposedly 'on the books'. Wierd shit.

I used to know a website full of these crazy laws. No tying a giraffe to fire hydrants, no flying kites, and you'd be suprised how many cities its illegal to spit on the sidewalk on a sunday in.
One of the strangest, had to do with it being allowed to hurt, kill, or cripple a proud female dog that has gotten loose, etc etc. wish I knew the exact quote.
Many of these sites probably make up a lot of them, a quick search shows http://www.theaprils.com/tim/stupidlaws.html
But, many are real, as I've read on some of these lists laws that are specific to my city that I know for a fact are real.
