can u  use those thin latex  rubber gloves  to  up-root  mushroomz?

how  do you clean the dirt  off them without  contamination?

Try it and see. I'd guess you probably can. The real question is why you'd want to.

It depends on what sort of contamination.

I usually start by brushing off the dirt with my fingers. If it's really on there so that doesn't get it all, trimming the mushroom base with a knife will get the rest. Of course, washing them with a little water in a sink works pretty good, too.

You can use gloves, or your fingers, or your toes if you want. What are you afraid of contaminating, yourself or the mushroom? I wouldn't worry about contamination or wearing gloves unless you are trying to make a sterile spore print from the shroom.

step one: get a pair of scicors
step two: cut the mushroom AT THE BASE( do not dig down to get the last quater inch of stem or so) with one hand cutting, grab the mushroom with the other hand and gently remove the fungal species.
step three: rinse repeat

it's not rocket science!
