what does a healthy noncontaminated pf cake look like?

first timer here.
so ive been using the pf tek, stickin to it as much as possible. the one variation i have made is to drop the cakes in the incubator before inoculation. i did this to prove my cakes clean. they have a slight powdery substance on the outside of the cake. it doesnt seem to be growing, and when i bust one open it doesnt seem to be inside. there is no smell, other than brf and vermiculite. is this just brf on the outside?
