inactive liquid culture????

A few weeks ago I made some karo jars. I incubated them for 2 or 3 weeks then innocculated some jars of rye with them. After more than a week there is NO signs of life in ANY of the innocculated jars!
  Could it be possible that my karo jars didn't work for some reason?
  I could see the swirl of growth in it before I sucked anything out to innocculate with.
Might just try and innocculate them all again.
By the way, I am using an 86 degree TIT :confused: :mushroom2: :rasta:

also, you should have had some white fuzzy growth in there. my karo grew into a cotton ball looking growth... little white flakes on the bottom too. what'd yours look like?

should give it the shakedown before you innoc with it.

my karo jars have that cotton look also you have to squirt shake qhat ever to break it up..other wise won't be able to suck any ion the syringe. my myc is a little clear but yes its white.

what kind of needles are you using also? smaller needles can keep the mycelium from being sucked up into the syringe.

12 cc from tlg they are standard it will suck up just i ahd to break up the myc like a mother f#$%^ so it would go throught but ye si did get it i could see myc in the tube
