Amon Tobin <- great artist

This guy at my local cd shop recommended this cd, because i like squarepusher. So i bought it, and it was well worth my money. Amon Tomin has some awesome electronic music, and purely original. I bought 'Out From Out Where', i'm not sure if there's any other cd's out. I recommend this to everyone to either buy or download, you'll be glad you have it. Peace

Ummm, i just went the the music store and the plastic spelled it Amon Tomin, but now that i look at the cd it is Amon Tobin. It's has squarepushers intelligent drumming, a world music touch, and some entrancing melodies

It was really great, the mood was sooooo relaxed. Go figure, I had 2 glasses of wine, 2 shots and 3 beers and was sick the next day.... I don't get it.
Tobin had a great set; He and Kid Koala have got to be two of the best turntablists I have ever had the privledge to watch. Any other shroomerites make it to a Tobin show?

I would kill to see Amon & Koala live. 21+ shows aggrivate me no end.
Back on topic, Amon Tobin is astounding, his music is intense & atmoshperic. He's doing the soundtrack for the newest Godzilla, Godzilla vs. the 4 Ton Mantis. I'm looking forward to it. blinkidiot- Does Amon scratch? I've always wondered, as I don't think I've ever heard him do so.

The Verbal remixes are good, I'd suggest the Collaborations more though. Or any of his full-length albums. See if you can find the 4 Ton Mantis single, it's sick.

Saw Amon Tobin live a while back in a crappy commercial pub in Derby, UK. The music was great but the venue was a massive dissapointment; we arrived around 9pm expecting the place to be open late but it was closing at 11pm as normal and we'd missed half the set. Which we only realised after we'd spent ?9 getting in. Also the drinks were extortionate. No-one should ever have to pay three quid for a pint of beer.
