I don't think either of them should be president, but I consider Kerry to be less of a threat if I had to choose
I wouldn't support the guy, but I'd rather he wins than Bush come November 2nd
Jefferson would be my choice for president, though

I don't know if we'll ever know for certain. It's interesting to note, though, that despite owning slaves himself, Jefferson had rather progressive ideas for his time regarding slavery as an institution.
