transferring cow manure; could it work?
    #3456693 - 12/06/04 07:52 PM (19 years, 3 months ago)

While i was layin' and thinking, i got this thought:

Since the minerals, chemicals and whatever in cow manure help mushrooms grow...what if i gathered a good bit of manure (in one of those big buckets or somethin') then spread it and mixed it in a patch of dirt near my house. Could magic mushrooms grow?
I'm thinkin' about trying it, but i wanted to post it here incase any of you tried it already, or incase it works. Seems logical that it would.

Look up moes outdoor tek. It could really only feasibly work if you inoculated it with p. cube spawn.

when something is injected, like a shot.

that's what we do with spore solution to make the mycelium grow, inoculate the jars.

personally, i'd follow moe's outdoor tek and spawn with old cakes/casings or with new cakes.

moes outdoor growing tek [Re: ZeroArmy27]
    #3458003 - 12/06/04 11:56 PM (19 years, 3 months ago)

Finally found it and...damn, that seems simple enough, thanks for telling me about it.

I dont have any colonized cakes (dont know how to make'em either...yet)
So could someone tell me what 'colonized' birdseed is? and how much I'll need for this tek?

Thanks...a lot; cause if it turns out there's some around here, i can just check the weather, soak some hay, and get started.

colonized bird seed is bird seed that has P.cubensis fungus growing on it.

Check the cultivation FAQ so you can educate yourself, w/out asking a thousand questions .

Definitely.  You sound pretty new at this stuff, the Shroomery is a wealth of info without having to post.
