Ever notice that the last 4 letters of the word "Christian" can be re-arranged to spell the word "anti"?

True Christians don't eat pork, just like Muslims and Jews. But they decided to change (or ignore) that statement, probably too much work to not eat hogs

the greeks and europeans love their pig products.. had a prohibition on pig meat been a part of christianity, they may not have converted... same deal as circumsition really, ease of conversion.
although it would be interesting to make the argument that..

Please show me the words of Jesus that supports this statement ? As I am pretty sure you will not find any. A Christian is a Disciple, follower of Jesus. So unless Jesus himself or one of his first Disciples said this. I will not take this as truth. I have never read this anywhere in the new testament

I'm quite sure that people who have learned the teachings of Jesus the Christ and are redeemed can do whatever they want to.
But that doesn't mean that karma ceases to function properly for those people. Negativity will still continue to draw more negativity.
Therefore someone who wishes to live a righteous life , and be rewarded as such should do just that...live a righteous life, whether they feel like they are redeemed or not.
And living a righteous life has nothing to do with what you choose to eat, drink, smoke, or the type of music you listen to. It's all about your attitude towards your fellow man, and your God.
Do you spread love, or do you practice greed? that is your choice.
you will get what you give.

I have been a student of Jesus for 25 years and have yet to even once see a Scripture that supports this claim. In fact let me find the scripture that has Jesus himself say that eating Pork is OK. It is there. Jesus was asked this very question about eating Pork by the Priest in the temple ..He says something like......... "It is not what a man puts into his mouth that keeps him from the kingdom of God but what come out of his mouth". Then Jesus goes on to say that all foods are good and should be eaten.
Let me find it.................

That whole thing of not eating meat on fridays was an idea brought into being by the catholic church and i don't think it can be supported by biblical teaching(s). The church has since repealed it, sometime in the L8 60's or early 70's i think

?
No, one of Jesus' teachings was that you can eat whatever the hell you want to eat. It wasn't reapealed in the 60s + 70s since it wasn't valid to begin with ( maybe it was a pure formality for god knows what reason? ).

Actually it was all political and had to do with a Vatican lobby by fishermen, and the Pope obliged by making a ruling to increase fish sales.

You are probably, as per usual correct. I seem to remember that we were allowed to eat fish only but no other meat of Fridays. I still remember the time our clas was visiting the zoo and i forgot it was Friday and was happily scarfing down a hotdog(those things were made in a test tube anyway and had never even SEEN a live animal ) And the teacher saw me and came over and tried to induce the typical catholic guilt trip: "I really hope that hot dog tastes good Freak" And i was like:"Actually, it does!"
