Only 2 Downloads Per Site?
    #3454695 - 12/06/04 02:44 PM (12 years, 5 days ago)

Is this a local thing I can change on my machine, or is it dictated by the website I am visiting. There used be a time when I could download several (>2) files from a website but lately it seems only ever to be 2 max!

Any ideas?

IE6,

I think it's server side, but I can't help thinking I've seen an option somewhere to change the amount of concurrent downloads to a site. Can't find it though - probably dreamt it.

This is a client-side setting and you're right that it can be changed (although they don't exactly make it easy).

Check out this knowledge base article, it will explain how to do it.

Hope this helps!

If that doesn't always work, some servers simply limit concurrent download connections to combat that type of behavior from programs such as download accelerator to keep open slots
