Im learning too.. but I dont think the casing layer will have enough
psilocybin for you to want to mess with trying to extract it. I would
have spoken up sooner but I was hoping someone with some experience
would answer your question. Youre a feind capo. Arent the shrooms
enough? ;)=D

In my early experiences with cultivation, I tried several methods of extracting psilo. from cakes and caseing. None were ever sucsecfull. There just isn't a large enough concentration of active cheimicals in the cakes.

???? ummmm yea there is.... you know when the cake turns blue? thats the psilo bruising in it... and well, psilo is what makes you trip... so of course theres enuf of a concentration of active chems... as for the original question, just boil it, if you die or something, lets us know so we dont do it.... actually that wont work... try it and tell us how it went, if we dont hear from you, we'll all assume your dead and that it shouldnt be done...

Haha! Thats pretty fun Trips!
I don't think boiling your casing will get you anywhere but the bathroom with the runs! The good stuff in the mycelium will all be degraded if you boil it making it pointless, and I don't think drinking peat water would be good for your G.I. track, but hey, ya never know. If you're seriously considering trying to get the psilo's from your casing then just soak it in some cranberry juice and drink the juice, after you strain it of course. And make sure you leave a note for someone to tell us what happened if you die, that way we'll know.
Tired of pimping yourself on the corner to afford spores? Well throw out that red dress and go to the FSR, for spores even you can afford.
