Somebody told me...
    #3450520 - 12/05/04 04:59 PM (12 years, 2 months ago)

...that you shall live in the now - by doing exactly what you feel like, without comparing it to any norm, moral, motive or reason.

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.

Its not new perhaps, but I think we need a reminder once in a while.

If one of you says 'what if I want to kill you?' now, I'm gonna smash your fucking face in... *oops...

Its not easy.

I also think that living life in a transcendental manner is key. ever changing, unrelating...is to truly experience without corruption, assumptions, pre-programmed thinking, etc. Once again...it's not easy.

--------------------
A plethora of music aspirations control my temptations of future revelations beyond "now". The percussion, and the heart beat of my love and devotion. The rhythm goes beyond, prying into the third eye, releasing the creativity held so far inside. The melodicies, through the out of tune pianos and broken classical guitars...there lies a beauty. A beauty as prevelent as the fire inside. To release these energies is pure ecstacy, to deveop these gifts is sacred. The vocality, so pure as can be, shying away from herself, lies within me. For the underlying serenitity, this is what I live for. I plea for harmony, and nothing more. Music equals love. Creation of love leads to the procreativity of the World, and it's spirals and puddles prevailing.

I domt believe the truth is truth when programmed, wether it is reprogrammed or not. Fuck the program thinking world surrounding. And needless to say, I am a product of it, and havent FULLY seperated myself from it.

yes and no. the thing is that i have both immediate and long term desires, therefore when i 'do what i will' which i always do, i have to choose between my short term and long term will.

mostly i live in a state of unatached exploration, and i follow most of the desires of my heart. this has resulted in me skippin one of out every 3 classes in all my subjects (even if i like the class) often for no more than the desire to reuturn to a lucid dream in the morning rather than wake up, or a sudden compulsion to wander back alleys down town rather than go to religious studies.

I believe that i value nothing more than my freedom, and i have lots of it, and i use it.

But, i also have long term desires that may be sabatoged by too much random and uncontrolled behavious.

I alter the maxim to "if you harm no other, do what tho wilt"

What I mean is living in the now, without thinking about 'long term desires'.

I will harm whoever I wish, if I feel its necessary to keep me existing as I wish. Atleast I say so.

Doing the exact oposite of this.

What that is, you have to find out on your own.

Intuition.

Animals live simple lives close to Tao. They do not need to think or reason: They never doubt themselves. When they are hungry, they eat. When they are tired, they sleep. They respond to the cycles of the day according to their intuition. They mate at the proper season, and they nurture their young according to their own understanding. When they die, they fall under the teeth of predators or the dispassionate turning of the seasons.

By contrast, we as human beings depart from the natural norm, and worry about ethical action. Extremes of behavior have become more varied, running the gamut from the sadistic to the moralistic. Tao considers all this artificial and unnatural.
Why divorce ourselves from Nature?

The follower of Tao prefers to live completely in concert with Tao, avoiding the interference of theory and excessive thought. Though one must first learn skill and ethics thoroughly, one must come to embody them so completely that they become subconscious. Reacting to a situation by asking what is right and wrong is already too slow. One must intuitively do what is correct. There should be no foreshadowing of an act, nor doubt about oneself.

I think I'm a closet taoist in denial.

You also said that you'd harm someone if they were in the way of what you wanted. That's pretty fucked.

Animals don't harm, they hunt. Violence isn't natural whatsoever.

Freddurgan, don't pretend to understand what I say.

I don't hunt, I defend myself.
