I found these growing on a bunch of people's front lawns by the side of the road when I was jogging this morning (in upstate NY). I don't think they're "funky", but I'm interested in what they are anyway, and if they are yummy.

I wish I had a Kryptonite cross, because then I could keep both Dracula AND Superman away.

I find an ass of those things while picking the "funky" ones. Pisses me off too cause I think it's something else at first.

Yeah, these are popping up all over my town now, with all the damp weather. Whenever I go out looking they're always there. They are annoying because they look like something good from a distance, a bit like liberty caps or conifer psilocybes. But then again liberty caps don't grow up here <sigh>
