The Recent Oversaturation Of Christian God Shit Here...
    #3448891 - 12/05/04 05:53 AM (12 years, 3 days ago)

... leads me to believe that perhaps the faulty logic held in common views of a Christian god is being made sorely apparent in order that we can fix these problems so that we can continue on our path of evolution.

Misunderstanding and seperateness derail our true nature. We must heal these glaringly obvious delusions, misconceptions, and false reflections of observable and knowable reality so that we can continue on our path towards our true nature.

We do not need anything that will falsely hold us in a state of mind, as that state of mind is supported by delusion. When the delusion falls, so does that state of mind... states of mind can only be built on solid, real foundations of Truth, Knowledge, Wisdom, Understanding, and above all, Being.

The time must come when we are all living with being, close to the Source, and actually thinking. Let us evolve as One!

I was actually considering rejoicing with a few, well-placed "Halleuiahs", but decided agansit it, as it might have been misinterpreted as the allowance of eating clown meat.

Can I get that in English? I'm gonna need a translator to help me even comprehend that.

Sounds like the ramblings of a drunken philosopher.... :crazy2:

FWG: I love you like a brother, nowhere in the Bible(that i know of at least) does it say anything about not loving my atheist/hindu/buddhist brothers etc any less due to the simple fact tht they do not share my faith. As far as the title of your thread, don't worry as sometime you will have an opportunity to say that to God's face, unless of course you have a change of  I pray for your sake that you do  The anger you feel towards Christians(born again or not)  isn't even you, your bad feelings about me, Christians in general is being fueled by the adversary....

Peace :sun:  :sun:

Easy for you to say, you're not one of the ones who'll have to tear down their belief system in order to adhere to that.

By all means, I agree with you, just don't expect those who need to hear it to be listening. :P  :crazy2:

I detected no anger in his post.

At the very most, I would say that he feels frustrated with those who cannot see the truth.

So... what, the fact that he used the word "shit" implies he is angry then? I think maybe you're reading too deeply into a word that is very often used in place of "stuff".

Maybe I am wrong, but that's all it struck me as.

P.S. Morning to you too there Freak.

Thank you for the correction JC, i guess i have always associated that word with something "bad"(i know: Freud would have had a field day with that )Perhaps i am merely projecting the feelings that I used to have when talking to a Christian(whether a real one of not)and feeling the psychic squeeze play they were putting on me to conform/adopt THEIR belief system

Ja, no anger, simply using "shit" as a substitute for "stuff", no negative connotations here, I simply swear a lot.

Religion is an impediment to progress in the world.

Religion wither and become extinct because they are only the works of people. After all, religion and spirituality, though related, are not synonymous. Religion is the creation of people and cultures. Spirituality is the direct personal relationship with Tao. Religions often degenerate into convention, ritual and corruption. They are imperfect. When their creators fade, even the holiest words gradually lose their power.

If we were to have a genuine spiritual experience, it would be lunacy to then go out and try to become religious leaders. We would only be repeating the same mistakes of countless other genuine seekers. It would be far better to simply be a nameless follower of Tao. Then we avoid the contradictions of social action.

It should be no surprise that even Jesus Christ did his best to clarify that he did not want any religions forming in his name or the spirituality of Christ Consciousness that he taught.
Yet, look what happened..

Now wait a minute. I like fireworks god very much. However, there is, if not anger, at least hostility in his first post that started this thread.

It starts with the title "The Recent Oversaturion of Christian God Shit Here...".

Saying there is an oversaturation means there is too much, and he's not happy with it, and calling it shit, when there are people who believe in the Christian faith, is demeaning to the same people.

The following terms used in his post also connote at least hostility:

"faulty logic"

"sorely apparent"

"We must heal these glaringly obvious delusions, misconceptions, and false reflections of observable and knowable reality so that we can continue on our path towards our true nature."

"We do not need anything that will falsely hold us in a state of mind, as that state of mind is supported by delusion. When the delusion falls, so does that state of mind... Vstates of mind can only be built on solid, real foundations of Truth, Knowledge, Wisdom, Understanding, and above all, Being."

Anyways, I'm all for speaking one's mind. But please, let's don't pretend that just because Fireworks alsways uses cuss words that he was not demeaning Christians. And if you are demeaning Christians, that is at least an indication of hostility.

I'd like to see someone say they are tired of "bhuddist shit" or "karmic shit" or whatever else we frequently discuss here and get away with it.

He said to Peter. On this rock I build my church. Peter means rock, it was Simon's nick name.

He sent his disciples out to baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

I'm curious as to the origins of this idea that Jesus did not found a religion.
