And here you two are talking about being born again. You are still alive and yet, to be born again, you must've experienced the death of something which was not physical and the birth of "eternal life" through knowing you are at-one atoned, atonment- at one ment, being in the state of ONE with the creator.

I think what the bible is talking about is that when we accept Jesus as our saviour, we die to our sinful nature and our born again as new beings in Jesus Christ. We are new creations. We are dead to our old ways.

A baby who dies at birth never had a chance. Does it deserve eternity in hell?

I don't personally know the answer to this. I can't site anything from the bible. I can go do some research, I supposed. My understanding, though, is that everyone has the opportunity to accept Jesus.

from my point of view, it does'nt deserve hell, neither do retards, the deaf and blind or anyone else like that.

the bible teaches that God is a fair, honest and just God.

when Jesus healed that guy of his blindness, he told the jewish leaders who did'nt believe it was a miracle something like "if you all were blind like this man was, you would be gulity of no sin, but because you claim you can see, your guilt remains"

...correct me if i'm wrong, i'm stating this from memory.

You got the jist of it. I don't know what religion you are if any and were just providing info you interpreted that helps you to see justice prevails.

I was raised Catholic- havn't followed the religion since I had a choice not to (my teens) They told us that if a baby dies before it is baptised, it goes to at least purgatory. It cannot be accepted into heaven with original sin. Thats what the catholics teach to make sure you become baptised in their faith and fill their coifers.

My interpretion of the Jesus metaphor runs different. I beleive he was talking about insight. For example, someone who can only see the tangible is blind, someone who can see the sublime behind its being can see.

Regarding the men he spoke to it was as if he was saying to them, "how can you expect to enter the kingdom of heaven when you can't see it right before you here and now. He was reffering to those who only see with their physical eyes and see the bad and wrong in everything.

Thats my take on it.

No one does. If you go by the bible, it says that hell was created for the devil and his angels not people...

...but somehow we ended up invited there as well....go figure....

....maybe them Christians are lying.
