I was just curious, but i have about 12 cakes pinning and they all pin from the bottom of the cake?? any ideas why???

just birthed them about a week ago....pins growing very fast!!!! one of them i dunked after birthing, seems it has a few more pins than the others.

well i did some expirmenting, some of them i put bottom up and some bottom down,. they all are pinning from the bottom.

then my crazy theory wont work. just a thought about how maybe the substrate is fully colonized on that portion of the cake so it is pinning first.

damn i must be off tonight. that was so obvious, good job hypae. yeah the shrooms come first and grow bigger where the verm is. i have one cake that the bottom 1/5 is sitting inside moist verm and that damn shroom is big i think i might pick it tommorow. its not a great angle but theres my big baby.

yeah i have to go to work for 12 hours 5 days a week. so it gets neglected a little and i try to exchange the air by air pump but just aint enough but hey they do good. already picked 7-8 shrooms befoe i took the pick though.
