I can only say No for certain for the ones in the second pic.
The ones in the top pic were grown from the seeds from the peyote in the third pic. I cannot remember for certain where I got that plant so can't say yes or no.

I don't have any, so I'm not sure. at younger ages they seem to look more simillar. But if one of those is diffusa, I'd have to guess the bottom pic. but looking closer maybe not.
Looks like you're going to have some seeds. Plan on using em?

Beautiful plants. Under what conditions were they grown? My six month old seedlings look a lot less mature than yours.

where might one find peyote seeds? i'm very interested in setting up a longterm peyote grow project, it sounds really cool. i'd like to spend a good number of years raising a peyote cactus from seed and then finally consume it later down the road.

You think you would? Some of my peyote I have become very attached to. It was a question I was going to ask in this forum; how many people have actually consumed their own peyote - not many I'm guessing.

I would but i plan to graft allot. I can see becoming attached to seed grown specimins, esspecially your first and oldest ones. I wouldnt even think of taking a knife to the biggest one in your last pic.

Yeah I bought some live plants but do not plan on consuming them. I have only had them for a short while and I'm already attached to them. There are other ways to get mescaline.

you know what jackal, i think i might just get attatched. it is pretty much a commitment like that to a pet, lol. that's why i plan on getting a few started so i can chop all but the best one, two, few...we'll see how it goes.

btw, if you plan on buying pregrown ones, the attatchment might be less, but you'll be paying BIG bucks for any over 5 years or a couple inches. A trip would cost you hundreds of dollars.
I do plan to grow these soon, but I imagine I'll never consume any. Perhaps if a graft obviously fails, I'll preserve the button to be had with my next pedro experience, but thats as far as I believe I would go.

i'd rather grow them because i feel more of a connection between me and the plant and that is a very important part of the process.
