I just picked these this afternoon in South Louisiana. I think they are cubes, but this was my first time picking and want to ensure that these are the ones im looking for and will not poison me.

Thanks for your input!!

You have a whole bunch of shrooms there. I live in south LA and rarely find cubes on horse dung. You sure you got those off horse crap?

Next time be more careful handling them. You have some nice finds but they look a bit beat up. And I can't see from the pictures whether they are all cubes. Certainly some are, but be sure to identify each one.

Lots of those look rotten. I'd thow the rotten ones out and keep the good ones. It is impossible to tell from that photo whether all your specimens are P. cubensis. Make sure that every mushroom you eat bruises blue.

Yes, i am absolutely sure that these came off horse crap. My friend keeps horses (no cow's in sight) and he called me over to look at these interesting looking mushrooms in his pasture. All were growing from the poo.

I should have been more careful handling them, but i was in a hurry and only had a small paper bag and i just kept cramming them in... LOL!

Like i said, this was my first hunt and im hoping they are all cubes. They all were identical so i'm hoping i got it right.

They can certainly grow on horse poo. Maybe I just haven't looked that hard around horses.

cool. did you dry them out? How'd you ingest them. Wild LA cubes are some of the best in the world imo.

hey Supernova, my favorite way to eat them is to dry them in my dehydrator, grind them up into powder in my blender, weigh out 1.5g of powder in a jellow shot cup, melt some bakers chocolate and fill the cup up with a lil melted chocolate and stir it up really good.

This is what my dog does with the equadorian's that he grows.  He usually makes about 50 or so at a time and keeps them stored in the refridgerator.  They store really well that way and make it super convienient for when you want a nice tasty snack.

BTW, i found the cubes to be every bit as potent as the equadorians if not, a little more potent and the trip lasted longer.

I will be making another visit to the horse pasture soon

Thanks again for everyones help!!!

Equadorians ARE Cubes. Equadorians are just a "strain" of Psilocybe cubensis, if you buy into that sort of BS.

thats an awesme little recipe, so i could put a little cyan powder in some grape juice and pour that into a popsicle tray like this: http://www.carolwrightgifts.com/product_images/11145.gif
and i could eat a cyan pop? that would work right
