tampa pins on petri
    #344279 - 06/19/01 08:15 AM (21 years, 11 months ago)

my friend went tthrough his old culture library and found a few dead tampa cultures. What he thought was dead, was placed on a shelf in his bedroom. Apparently it wasnt dead, and the light triggered fruiting. After a few days pins appeared. they turned into shrooms. The petri was either contamed or dying, since the myclium started turning black/brown. I do know contamed cultures tend to fruit, but I never saw it before.
The friend also told me that this culture was a clone of a sclerotium. I will post his pic tomorow.

Tampanensis mycelium naturally ages to a brown color.
