Here are some of my Salvia plants.
Light=18/6 40W compact florecent and two 2ft 20W floro tubes
Temp=80F When lights are on 70F when off
RH=75%

are those little guys all cuttings or just sprouts.. what are the gravel like substrates?

How do you get them so bushy at that height?? or have you taken a lot of cuttings from the larger ones??

The "little guys" are cuttings, and the mysterious medium is just hydroton.

To get them bushy like that, i mist them at least 3 times a day and keep the humidity at least 70%, and i also pinch nodes. I have taken no cuttings from any of the plants shown in the pics.

I think bmarley3434 may have meant the white medium which it looks like is coarse Perlite.

so its filled fully with perilite? no soil until it roots... then plant it? if this is correct .. approximately how long will rooting take

roots usually develop within 2 weeks. I usually wait 3-4 till i repot.
