Elusive azures pt. 1
    #3440561 - 12/03/04 01:53 AM (13 years, 2 months ago)

Hey everyone. It's been a while since i've posted a naive/strait forward question..but instead of spending hours, id like some common knowledge from anywho nice nough to post it =). Ray and I went to the south jetty today in florence, spent almost 3 hours searching various areas for azures, with no luck. I don't even know if these grow in my area, but I figured it be worth a try. I did happen to find 2 cyans growing in cedar(yes cedar) chips, side by side..didn't find any others. These could have been azures,? i dunno..i dont know why i didnt take pics..im trying to get one to make a print but no luck. the other one i mashed up and it turned way blue. Was creamy caramel where it was dry on the cap and the edges were darker brown..with the lines on the edge of the caps..

Anyways, if anyone knows a certain city/area within 80 miles of florence, id be really happy for a p.m., just interested in finding some/taking photos actually, and getting a few prints. ~D

You are too far south to find wild azures.
