I chose Tout, but the "White Album" is probably my favorite for the simple fact that it has more songs.

( i love the fact that you didn't even consider the Beatles prior to Rubber Soul... i've got to say that i really dislike their music prior to that album... )

I love all of the Beatles music, but of course I favor the psychedelic stuff. They were really in the thought for a few years there.

i really dig the way they are, in a sense, a complete antithesis to the Dead... where the Dead were a "live" band - the Dead experience all about experiencing live music - the majority of Beatles songs post-Rubber Soul would be unperformable live. They used the studio in ways that nobody (except perhaps Brian Wilson) had even thought of doing.

True. I've always liked studio recordings as opposed to live recordings as well.
