rust on jar lids
    #343917 - 06/18/01 09:00 PM (23 years, 9 months ago)

Does anyone out there have any ideas about how to get rid of rust from jar lids?? I have germinated spores in water, and rust keeps dripping down from the lids. Is this dangerous at all, as it turns my mycelium red!

I suggest you get plastic lids. They are inexpensive and can be pressure cooked without a problem.

blue, use a drill to drill your holes in plastic lids, then use the 'professional grade masking tape' it will stick to the lid during sterilization...
