rust on jar lids

just wondering how people get around the problem of rust on jar lids? I have germinated spores in water, but rust drips down from the holes in the jar lids!! Any ideas?

Use plastic lids.

Tired of pimping yourself on the corner to afford spores? Well throw out that red dress and go to the FSR, for spores even you can afford.

johnny is right, plastic works good for me, re-usale if u clean em and almost as good as glass...

used em for like 2 years straight... never found any glass ones that were tapered :frown:

btw, why the fuck is this in spore exchange :?

Man, plastic lids are NONEXISTENT where I live. I seriously would think someplace would stock em, but I haven't been able to find them. I use metal, and I would recommend KERR over BALL, they're just sturdier, shaped better, and stand up to nails better. I have yet to see a jar that doesn't have rust on at least one of the holes. I'm a newbie and all, but I've had totally successful colonization whether there was rust or not. It's not a problem I've ever lost a jar to. Get plastic if you can (and send me some too!), but you can relax on the rust thing.
