Well, this Saturday, me and two other friends decided to go pick and feast on the mushrooms I found in the feild. So, we all met up at a friends house, who lived down the road from the feild. We grabbed a trash bag, rolled a blunt, and headed off to the feild on the four-wheeler (it really sucks clinging to the racks and zipping through a bumpy ass trail at 45mph). When we got there, the cows were in the spot where we found some the day before, but we eventually coaxed the cows away. We started picking. It hasn't even rained for a few days, yet we were still finding an ass-load of shrooms. We quickly learned to spot potential shroom areas by certain land features. Like, theres a hill and a plain. Go to the hill. There is brownish grass, and bluer/green healthy looking grass, go to that. Tall grass or short grass, go to the tall. Then we would spread back the blades of grass, exposing a cluster or two of psychadelic mushrooms. When we were done picking, we went back and split our catch into three piles (for each of us). We started choking them down, but they almost made us puke. The stems were the most nasty part, so we began breaking the caps off, eating those, and throwing the stems into a pile. Then we took the pile of stems, and blended them up in orange juice and ice. That was split up three ways, and chugged down (which masked the taste nicely). After about 20 minutes, we rolled another blunt, and by the time we were finished smoking, we started to trip. I was starting to see some slight visuals here and there, when we decided to eat some more. By the time we got back to the feild, we were already trippping pretty good. So we picked a few more and put them into another bag. The cows were back, and they srated to run toward us, we got scared and started to run, but they turned and hauled ass into the woods. They weren't even after us. We laughed hard for about 10 minutes. I would start to explan how we would start to think that there were no more shrooms left, and then peel back some grass and find some more, and right as I said that I happened to bend down and find a few more, We laughed about that one too. After a while, we got tired, and decided to sit in the shade and eat up. We could all three look up and agree that the sky and the clouds looked exceptionally beautiful. The visuals weren't all that great, but the mental and physical high were great! I felt wonderfull! We sat in the shade for a long time, just talking and discussing different things. My other friend would say something like "yeah, and if you think, it'll all come together, and fall into place, and the whole process will be beautiful!", and we would laugh and laugh. All in all, it was a good trip, and a very good day. Not bad for free!
